July 2006

Carmel will be playing at the Zion Arts Centre, Hulme, Manchester, UK on 23rd July 2006 as part of The Manchester Jazz Festival '06. The night will feature many new tracks, some old favourites plus a brand new lineup. For those of you who could not make it along to the show at Matt & Phred's last November this will be another opportunity to hear and see song and film in tribute to Rudolf Nureyev. Later in the year the band will touring in Holland, Belgium, Germany and France, details to be announced shortly. Check the Events Diary for further info.

September 2005

Carmel and Jim are currently working on new pieces, one written alongside poet Sonia Hughes. A selection of these should be available as MP3s on Neoglobal in January 2006. They intend to perform them as a duo with some sound treatments by new collaborator Jaydev Mistry plus film by Adrian Ball. This will be at Matt & Phred's Bar, Manchester, November 27 2005.

There will be shows in Belgium and Holland in March 2006 and also a tour there in the autumn. Precise details to follow.

May 2005

From mid May it will be possible to purchase MP3s of new Carmel tracks here from Neoglobal.

The long awaited Carmel DVD - More, More, More - is now available from http://www.secretrecordslimited.com and in the shops.

Live performance has always been central to Carmel's work and this fine DVD captures them with a superb mix of favourites.

Recorded in 2002 at Cargo, London, the DVD includes such classics as Bad Day, and More More More.
